What do you think? Is the last line a little much? I've noticed that a lot of bios say where the author lives and that they live with their husband (or wife), kids, and random pet. I have none of those... so I thought I would add a little humor to the end. Does it work? I would love your input! :)

I need to put in my two cents here. I am NOT a robot and the new Blogger verification is very annoying if you still have it on your blog. I love to leave comments, but I do not like interpreting the words. It always takes me two tries to get it and it is frustrating. Blogger is very good about catching spam, so you should join us and turn it off! Go to settings, comments, and scroll down to turn verification off. You won't regret it. :)

It does work - I feel like I know you a little better... but in the UK, a 'stuffed puppy' would be an actual dead puppy stuffed by a taxidermist... I'm guessing that's not quite what you meant :) Lx
ReplyDeleteLol, thank you. It's definitely not a dead stuffed puppy by a taxidermist - ewww. It's a cute stuffed animal of a beagle, my favorite kind of dog. :)
DeleteFirst off - glad you mentioned the captcha codes. Man those things are aggravating! Mine are off! Whoot-whoot!
ReplyDeleteAlso - I can't wait to check out Rachel's article for this. I need to work on mine. I think yours is GREAT! It's wonderful and I love the bit of humor at the end! Great work, and good luck querying!
Lol, those things are just so aggravating! Yay for turning them off! :)
DeleteShe really nice a nice article on this. I'm glad that you like mine! :)
Hi Krista, I found you through the A-to-Z linky list. I had no idea how to turn off the annoying word verification. But...it is now shut off! Thank you. I wish that I could comment on your bio, but I have no experience. I would be making up stuff-- ha! Writing fiction ;-)
ReplyDeleteWelcome Teresa! Yay for shutting off the verification! Writing fiction - very true! :)
DeleteI like your bio. And I love the lady line. But in light of Laura's comment (isn't great to be able to connect with other cultures in the blogosphere.) Maybe it should be plush puppy?
ReplyDeleteI love connecting with other cultures through blogs! Maybe I will change it to plush puppy. :) Thanks!
DeleteYour bio is great! It shows your personality and states what you write.
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine!
Delete...I believe the final line kind of tied everything together quite nicely ;)
ReplyDeleteWell done,
El
Thank you Elliot! :)
DeleteWell, I have no experience with these things but I like it, it's quirky :-)
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a quirky person, so it fits. :)
Deletei promise i am human too =) hate the new improved? verification!
ReplyDeletei like your bio! do you have a job right now? you could put that with your last line
Krista works to support her writing =)
Whew, I'm glad that you are human too. :)
DeleteI do have a job - that's the part about serving coffee to others, lol. :) Gotta have a day job to pay the bills.
I turned verification off for my comments - whew!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your querying. I will say that agents tend to only care about any publishing credits. Check out this link for specifics: http://querytracker.blogspot.com/2010/01/author-bio.html
Yay for turning off the verification!
DeleteThank you for the link! I will definitely check that out. :)
